1. Academic Council
The Academic Council is the highest body of the medical college. This body is responsible for all academic activities, as well as the QA and Faculty Development of the college. It also refers disciplinary matters to the Disciplinary Committee to take disciplinary action against those who violate any rule or regulation of the college or of discipline.
The principal is the Chairperson of the Council. Members of the Council are:
- Director of Gonoshasthaya Samaj Vittik Medical College Hospital
- Vice-Principal
- All Heads of Departments
- All Professors
- Two senior-most Associate Professors (one from pre-clinical & another from clinical)
- Two senior-most Assistant Professors (one from pre-clinical & another from clinical)
